Great Book

The guides and steps in the book are easy to follow and understand especially for beginners. It gives a clear description and the reasons why. It gave the perfect amount of freedom and guidance on gardening. Reading through, it didn't feel like reading a textbook but a mentor telling you the way to start along with telling a couple of their stories themselves. It really gave the vibe that this is a guide that had been done many times, yielded results, and used by others. This book is a really great point to start if you want to get into gardening.

Very Useful Book

I found this book on vegetable gardening very useful. I am surely going to try some of the tips mentioned in this book. As I live in an apartment and not an individual house, I think I can't grow vegetables but I can sure do grow herbs. The book gave insights on how we can have our own victory garden just like our grandparents did during world war 2. But our victory gardens will help us to fight recession. The book mentioned tips about growing from seeds, growing from plants, using fertilizers, watering plants, when to plant the plants, when to harvest, what vegetables can be grown, outdoor gardening, how to keep insects and rabbits at bay, how to preserve the vegetables, indoor gardening, how much money can be saved by gardening etc. It is one of the most important and eye opening books that I read this year.

Fantastic

This book is brilliant- you’re given so much information, but in a compact format, with specific chapters for different steps and clumps of information, like suggestions of what vegetables to grow. I also love the aesthetic of having flowers on the outskirts of every page, but the only thing that annoys me slightly about the book is just that the words have to fit around the surrounding images, and so, in the table of contents, for instance, the list of chapters isn’t a straight list. That’s more of a stylistic choice, though, and not an inherent flaw, even if it does irk my OCD slightly. Overall, this is a brilliant collection of tips, tricks, how-to’s, and general information; it’s a must-have for gardeners.
